Original Description (from Récluz, 1843, p. 2-3):
"Testa turbinata, basi transverse sulcata, roseo-fuscescente aut lutescente, punctis quadratis castaneis interdum confluentibus oblique perlongum flammulata, albo in medio bifasciata: fasciis punctis castaneis quadratis tessellatis; spira conico-acuta, elongata, gradatim digesta, late canaliculata, luteo-aurantia, castaneo flammulata; anfractibus 13 ad 14 basi carinatis: carinis albis, spadiceo articulatis, supremis granulatis; apertura alba, roseo trifasciata. — Long., 62, larg., 30, haut. de la spire, 25 millimètres.
Habit, la Mer Rouge, près des côtes de l'île de Socotora.
