Remarks

Note: All Florida Museum of Natural History specimens of S. evergladesensis come from localities in southern Florida containing a mixture of Early Pleistocene Caloosahatchee Fm. and Middle Pleistocene Bermont Fm. It is thus not possible to determine whether this species occurs in just one or both of these strata.
